Sharing data between different databases and applications can be highly complex and may negatively impact system performance — ultimately affecting the company’s financial results. Moreover, if you’re unable to analyze up-to-the-minute data distributed across various systems, you miss out on the business opportunities enabled by modern Business Intelligence (BI) solutions.

Data Replicator

DB+ Data Replicator™ is a versatile and reliable solution for replicating data from Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL to Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL and others. It provides real-time access to replicated production data without any impact on the availability or performance of the source systems

Database Migrations and Upgrades

By using real-time replication, database migration or version upgrades can be performed significantly faster and with much greater security. This approach enables near-zero downtime, as the application can be switched to the new database—which already contains up-to-date data—almost instantly.

Typically, migration plans include a rollback strategy in case of issues. However, these rollback plans are usually effective only within the first few minutes of using the new database. Once the new database holds several hours’ worth of live data, reverting to the old database becomes unfeasible.

The solution is to replicate real-time data from the new database back to the old one as well. This way, if any issues arise, the application can be seamlessly redirected to the previous database within seconds, without the users even noticing the switch.

Reading 80 GB of changes per hour from logs has no impact on performance

DB+ Data Replicator™ is capable of reading over 80 GB of changes per hour directly from transaction log files.
It retrieves change data using Oracle’s LogMiner tool, which reads from the transaction logs of the source database. The only impact on the source system is the minimal load generated by LogMiner, ensuring replication is both high-performance and non-intrusive.

Real-time Reporting

Real-time data replication between transactional systems and reporting platforms enables reporting on the most up-to-date data without adding any load to the source systems.
This approach eliminates the common dilemma of choosing between outdated reporting data—typically loaded the night before—or generating reports directly on production systems, which can negatively affect their performance.

Application Integration and Interfaces

For multiple business applications to operate efficiently, effective data exchange between them is essential.
Traditional integration solutions—such as enterprise service buses—are often highly resource-intensive.
A far more optimal and lightweight alternative is real-time data replication, which ensures seamless system integration with significantly lower resource consumption.

1.5 TB of Processed Logs in 24h

DB+ Data Replicator™ can process up to 1.5 TB of daytime changes from log files.
It reads change data directly from Oracle transaction logs using the LogMiner tool. The only impact on the source database is a minimal load generated by LogMiner, ensuring that performance remains unaffected.

Data Consolidation from Multiple Systems

With real-time replication, you can effortlessly consolidate data from multiple systems into a single destination, such as a data warehouse. This enables reporting based on up-to-date information from across the organization—unlocking the full potential of advanced Business Intelligence analytics.

Uploading Data into Distributed Systems

Another use case involves the seamless upload of data from a central transaction system to distributed systems across the company. This process allows remote users to access and work with real-time copies of production data, all without adding extra load to the source system.

Automation of Synchronization Processes with Data Transfer Function

The Data Transfer function allows for easy copying of data tables between transactional databases, simplifying the replication configuration process.

By automating this function, DB+ Data Replicator eliminates the need for additional tools like Data Pump or RMAN.

The solution is also optimized for networks prone to packet loss or connection issues, featuring an automatic synchronization recovery function to ensure seamless operation.

Key Features

Thanks to real-time data replication, migrations and upgrades can be completed much faster, with minimal downtime for the source systems. The ability to reverse the direction of replication also allows for a quick return to the previous database in case of migration issues.

Real-time data replication between transactional systems and reporting platforms enables the creation of reports based on the most up-to-date data, without putting additional load on the transactional systems that serve as the data source. This solves the issues related to working with outdated data or running reports directly on transactional systems, which can negatively impact their performance.

For the efficient operation of multiple applications, effective data transfer between them is essential. Commonly used solutions, such as data buses, are inefficient due to their high resource requirements. In many cases, real-time replication can replace these more resource-intensive methods of data transfer between systems.

Thanks to real-time replication, you can easily consolidate data from multiple systems into a single database, such as a data warehouse. Reports can be generated based on up-to-date data streaming from various systems in real time, enabling advanced Business Intelligence analysis.

Our software features a highly intuitive interface, making it easy to use even for users with little experience in database replication.

DB+ Data Replicator can be used for real-time data transfer from a primary transactional system to distributed systems. Users in remote locations can work with real-time copies of production data without overloading the source system.
